Southern Gypsies is a small Gypsy Cob stud on the outskirts of Melbourne. We were the fourth stud to be established in Australia and we breed purebred Gypsy Horses.
Our resident stallion is the superb Jango Dancer of Brackenhill, imported in 2006. Jango was the fourth Gyspy Cob stallion to be imported to Australia and one of the first eight Gypsy Cob horses to come into the country.
In 2009 we imported our first Gypsy Cob mare, the radiant Aeryn Sun and in 2011 we are thrilled to introduce the exceptional filly Surrey Springs Rambling Rose.
Our horses have some of the best bloodlines available and come from Old School traditional breeding. Lines include The Lob, The Old Horse of Wales, Frainy Lines, Toy Boy, The Coal Horse, The Horseshoe Mare, Harker's, Pratt's, Brackenhill.
